Here's how you can watch Mark Zuckerberg testify before Congress
Mark Zuckerberg heads to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to answer for Facebook's data-harvesting sins. And you can watch it live in all of its sure-to-be-schadenfreude-filled glory.
SEE ALSO:Everything you need to know about the Cambridge Analytica controversyThe Facebook chairman and CEO will testify to Congress on consumer privacy. Thanks to Cambridge Analytica whistleblowers and increasingly damning revelations (looking at you, Peter Thiel!), the controversy about what Facebook does with its users' data refused to die down. Zuckerberg agreed to the hearings after congress called for accountability and answers in a formal summons.
Zuckerberg will actually testify twice. His first appearance is with the Senate, where bulldogs like Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Grassley are sure to grill him in a joint hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. That takes place on Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. Eastern Time. Lucky you, there's a livestream of the hearing, which you can watch here.
On Wednesday, Zuckerberg answers to the House. He'll speak with the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on "Transparency and Use of Consumer Data" at 10 a.m. ET, which you can watch here.
Whether this will be actually informative for our security and democracy, or merely a public flogging by opportunistic congressmen, remains to be seen. Either way, grab the popcorn.
