As a kid, attempting to fry an egg on the footpath was the go-to experiment in hot weather.
For police in Queensland, Australia, the weekend heatwave which struck much of the country was the perfect opportunity to re-live their youth, rather than, you know, solve some crimes.
SEE ALSO:Meanwhile, Australia's in the grip of an intense heatwave straight from hellThe town of Birdsville hasn't had an afternoon under 41 degrees celsius (105 degrees) since Jan. 26, so it makes the perfect setting for a fry up. Just listen to that egg sizzle on the car's bonnet. Impressive.
In the inland town of Dalby, Queensland, there was another attempt to cook up an egg on the 68 degrees celsius (154 degrees) pavement.

But it does prove one thing: It's very hot in Australia. Now, who's hungry?
